Oh the pain and suffering around us and in us just seems unbearable sometimes…not worth it, just too much. You are tired. It has been too long. You are not happy with the way things are going. With the way things got dealt out….the ways things were planned. Life just seems to be one big joke- a bad one. It can be overwhelming sometimes and what you hear- from those that love you and those that cheer you on:
“keep going! it will all be worth it-keep living in reality!-don’t medicate-
feel and live in the present, be angry…cry! -let Him heal you-really heal you!
not just a band aid-but a deep real healing!”
Well…it can all seem too good and too hard to be true. The groans and moans are all too constant, persistent, strong and unforgettable. You just want to give up. You want to be done. You want things to change, be different…you want relief!
Listen!
Listen!
Relief will come! Your friends are right! Healing will come…sweet moments of truth will be birthed- some simple and some huge…some just for you and some involving others. But, they will happen right before your eyes. Maybe, no definitely, not in ways you planned. We are not in control…we don’t need to be. It’s better off this way. We are not the Creator…we are the creation!
Lord help us to continue to surrender, cry and release during the wait. Help us to wait and groan in anticipation of you birthing many glorious things! Thank you for your promise of healing. We know You are very close when we are writhing in pain and we know that You, and You alone, are in charge of lifting the pain and birthing something glorious.
Ephesians 3:14-21 says,
“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in you inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith-that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus, throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
